That's exactly what happened recently when our very own Head Bartender/Bar Manager/Overall Badass, Kat Hunter, competed in the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience in Charleston. After coming in second place the last time she competed, Kat went into this year determined to crush it, AND SHE DID! Her matcha-infused cocktail wowed the judges and clinched her entry into the national competition in Kentucky next month! As we mosey into the spring, we find ourselves as busy as the bees that pollinate our gardens. Between our nightly services, the numerous caterings and special dinners, and festival season ramping up, it's hard to find a day on our calendar that doesn't have SOMETHING on it that's tasty and fun!
We just returned from Charleston Wine + Food Festival this past weekend, and to say it was a blast would be an understatement.
Throughout the festival, we participated in almost a DOZEN events, from the opening day all the way through the final event. We BBQed, grilled, roasted, shucked, fried, scooped and plated over 3000 samples of deliciousness to ravenous festival goers, and probably drank over 150 beers, a couple bottles of Woodford Reserve AND a bottle…
